Updates From Rev. Jackton

1. Orphans project: The Lord has always proved himself and we have been seeing him do wonderful things in this program. The Lord has continued to be faithful and stand with his word that he is surely the father to the fatherless. There are many a times that we go to the brink of thinking that we have reached our end but he has always come in handy to save the situation. The kids are back to school for the second term and we thank the Lord for all the provisions.We pray for books,school uniforms,food for the orphans and volunteers who can teach our kids.

2. Church: the Lord has continued to add to our number and we bless him so much. We had the pleasure to host friends and we bless the name of the Lord so much for this.

3. Outreaches: We made two mission trips/outreaches within the country. for one of the missions, it was purely mercy ministry as the church members in conjunction with friends contributed food items to be taken to other parts of the country which is experiencing fermine. so far from the records of the government the nations has lost close to over 400 people to the fermine epidemic. kindly see some pictures of old women who got some portions of what we had.

4. Community Projects: this is the time for the long rains and it is really come in torrens and we bless the name of the Lord for that. with the long rains are the increase of mosquitoes hence more malaria. we are praying as a church in distributing at least 10,000 mosquito nets to the people of Mbita. we are trusting the Lord to give out the Olyset nets which costs Ksh.750 (US$10) for every net. They are factory treated and can last for over 5 years without need for retreatment.

5. Water Tanks: We have been experiencing a lot of water related diseases that come as a result of people drinking raw water from the lake. We are requesting friends and well wishers to help us with water tanks in our school for the orphans to have a clean water.

Kindly thank the Lord with us for the blessings that he has been able to bestow upon us and for the provisions.

Pray:

More partners for the orphans program.
That the Lord will add to our numbers.
there is still need for more food supply for the fermine affected people.
More food for the orphans,clothes,books.
